Very hard to start and then would cut off when gas was pressed. Let idle for 15 minutes but would never work properly. Not a gas problem as I used the same in my 10 year old string trimmer and gas blower. Lowes was awesome though and took it back. They offered to either look at and fix or just give me a refund, which I accepted. Will buy a new one next spring and it will not be this model.

I bought this hedge trimmer after that, thinking it would be similar in quality. NO. It ran well for a few days, then nothing but problems. It is currently in the shop, again. In all honesty, it’s probably just heading to the trash can. If I had anything to do with this company, I would pull this product off the market immediately. They should not still be selling such a flawed piece of equipment, especially at this price!

The reciprocating blades feel “sticky” even when brand new. But after a few hours the machine is running better. It works fine if you can get past that. Well made, low vibration.
