The longitudinal cut is carried out along the growth of fibers. During such sawing, much more energy is spent, the machine heats up much faster than in the case of a transverse saw. Nevertheless, such costs are completely compensated by the fact that the surface of lumber with a longitudinal cut is smooth. But in the case of a transverse saw, the surface is rough and even with chips.

In fact, the longitudinal cut was similar to the split of the pads with an ax, in which the blades-clin split the fibers connected by lignin, which facilitates further splitting. During the longitudinal cut of timber or wood-brown slab, the cutting surface of the instrument breaks the lignin, after which the fibers cuts with cutting movements.

Often during the longitudinal sawing, the internal voltage in the lumber is revealed, caused by an uneven leaf of fibers, which are compressed or, on the contrary, are stretched, clamped by the surrounding fibers and are in this position until the sawing begins.

During the implementation of the longitudinal saw, a significant problem arises. It consists in the fact that the edges of the cut boards may close. But this problem can be avoided. It is not worth the cut of the boards that have unevenly distributed annual rings, that is, the appearance that indicates the wrong drying. Not suitable for longitudinal sawing and lumber that have cracks.

Longitudinal sawing of wood should be carried out with a margin to release internal stress. This option makes it possible in the future with the help of strict or sawing, get rid of flaws. Do not forget that the discs used for the saw should be sharp and clean, if possible new.

Completion of work

The second part of the main work process will consist directly from the barrel. At least this will require the already mentioned strong rope, and its length should be twice as much compared to the radius in the fall zone. One end of the rope is tied to the top of the barrel, and the second is pulled from below in the direction of the fall of the tree. If it is not possible to perform a node at a sufficient height or effort is not enough, then you will have to perform deeper cuts. The primer sawed

This is the basis that levels the surface and acts as a kind of preparatory coating for paint and varnishes. It is recommended to use acrylic soils and tinting mixtures for such purposes. If the decor of wood saws is planned to be performed with painting, then preference is given to transparent materials. For the same tasks of creating the background, temporal wood paints are suitable. Acrylic diluted impregnations allow to change the shade of wood without invading the texture. Apply such coatings is recommended by foam.

The prepared sawing is only a base for future decor.
