  • Crossfade (crossfide). Crossfade is applied at the beginning and end of the inserted sound, creating smooth transitions. Specify the length of the transitions in milliseconds.
  • Paste Type (insert type). specify the type of insert. The options are as follows:
  • Insert (insert). insert sound at the current location or selection. Adobe Audition inserts audio at the cursor position, moving all existing data to the end of the pasted material.

  • Overwrite (rewrite). sound overlay starting from the cursor position and the existing material is replaced for the entire duration of the sound. For example, inserting 5 seconds of material replaces the first 5 seconds after the cursor.
  • Modulate (modulation). modulates the sound with the current signal for an interesting effect. The result is similar to Overlap, except that the values of the two signals are multiplied by each other, sample by sample, not addition.
  • From Clipboard (from clipboard). pasting audio data from active internal clipboard.
  • From File (from file). inserting sound data from a file. Click the Browse button to find the file.
  • Loop Paste (looped insert). insert sound data a specified number of times. If the sound is longer than the current selection, the current selection is automatically lengthened accordingly.

Hello! Can you please tell me what could be the reason that only the A1 sound sounds in the attached picture? Yesterday, when I did a test export, I only sounded A3, but I just wanted to. I turned off the rest. Today, when I corrected the editing, A2 could not be heard, but with A3 everything was in order. And when I made the export, I heard only A1 in the received one. I changed the order of audio tracks vertically (below 6 more pieces. disabled). Can’t figure out what’s going on.

How to make video fade out and sound fade out in the premiere ss if only sound amplification is available in the Clip-Audio Options section?

lessons from the “Basics” section

Navigating Audio in Sample View

Switch the time ruler in the Timeline panel to audio time units.

You can navigate as follows.

  • Drag the current-time indicator on the time ruler to smoothly navigate the clip.
  • To move the current-time indicator for one audio sample at a time, press the Step Forward or Step Backward buttons.

Setting audio in and out points based on samples

The entry and exit points are set based on the time intervals between video frames. While frame-based editing is acceptable for audio as well, higher fidelity is sometimes needed. For example, you need to set a starting point between two words in a sentence, but the small amount of time between words does not fall on a frame change. However, digital audio is not divided into frames, but into samples, which are replaced much more often. By switching the sequence time ruler to audio samples, you can more accurately determine the audio in and out points.

Linking and unlinking video and audio

  • To link clips, hold down the Shift key and click a series of clips to select them. Right click and from the dropdown select Link.
  • Unlink clips, right-click and select Unlink from the drop-down list.

After unlinking the clip, the video remains selected, while the selection of the audio clip is deselected.

(Optional) To reuse a set of linked clips, create a nested sequence from a set of synced clips and place that sequence in other sequences as you like.

All about codecs and video formats. Part 2. Transcoding and Proxy Creation

In this video, you will learn how to make editing more comfortable using transcoding and creating proxy files. Using this knowledge, you will save a lot of time and make the installation process

All about codecs and video formats. Part 3. How to Export Videos for YouTube Correctly

In this video, you will learn about the settings for exporting video from Premiere Pro, as well as how to properly export video for uploading to YouTube.

Stretch and shrink track track

With the help of special buttons, the record can be stretched in length or width. This does not change the track playback. This function is designed to edit the smallest parts of the composition so that it sounds more natural.

Trimming and Adding Sections in Audio Tracks

Constantly when working with sound files, you need to cut something off. This can be done by clicking with the mouse on the track area and dragging to the desired place. Then press the “Del” key.

In order to insert an excerpt, you need to add a recording to a new track, and then use drag and drop to place it on the desired track.

By default, Adobe Audition has 6 windows for adding a track, but this is not enough when creating complex projects. In order to add the necessary ones, scroll down all the tracks. The last will be the “Master” window. By dragging a composition into it, additional windows appear.

Adding your own voice

Now we go back to the previous area, where we will add “Acapella”. Go to the “Track2” window and rename it. In order to record your own voice, just press the “R” button and the record icon.

Now let’s listen to what happened. We hear two songs together. For example, I want to hear what I just recorded. I’m in the red, I press the “M” icon and the sound disappears.

Instead of recording a new track, you can use a previously prepared file and simply drag it to the Track2 track window, as you added the first track.

Listening to two tracks together, we can notice that one of them drowns out the other. To do this, adjust their volume. We make one louder and listen to what happened. If you don’t like it anyway, then in the second one we decrease the volume. Here you need to experiment.

Quite often, “Acapella” needs to be inserted not at the beginning, but in the middle of the track, for example, then we simply drag the passage to the right place.

Fading or increasing volume

When listening to the recording, it may seem that the beginning is too loud, therefore, we have the opportunity to adjust the smooth attenuation of the sound. Or vice versa, amplification, which is used much less often. In order to do this, drag with the mouse over a translucent square in the audio track area. You should have a curve, which is best placed smoothly at the beginning so that the build-up is not too rough, although it all depends on the task.

We can do the same at the end.

How to use Adobe Audition

Adobe Audition is a multifunctional tool for creating high-quality sound. With it, you can record your own acapellas and combine them with minuses, apply various effects, trim and insert recordings and much more.

At first glance, the program seems incredibly complex, due to the presence of various windows with numerous functions. With a little practice, you can easily navigate Adobe Audition. Let’s figure out how to use the program and where to start.

How to use Adobe Audition

I want to note right away that it is unlikely that it will be possible to consider all the functions of the program in one article, so we will analyze the main steps.

How to add a minus to create a composition

In order to start our new project, we need background music, in other words “Minus” and the words that are called “Acapella”.

Launch Adobe Audition. We add our minus. To do this, open the “Multitrack” tab and drag the selected composition to the “Track1” field.

Our recording was not placed at the very beginning and when listening to it, silence is heard at first and only after a while we can hear the recording. When we save the project, we will have the same thing that does not suit us. Therefore, using the mouse, we can drag the music track to the beginning of the field.

Now let’s listen. For this, there is a special panel at the bottom.

Track Window Settings

If the composition is very quiet or, on the contrary, loud, then we make changes. In the window of each track, there are special settings. Find the volume icon. Move the mouse to the right and to the left, adjust the sound.

When you double-click on the volume icon, enter numerical values. For example, “8.7” will mean an increase in volume, and if you need to make it quieter, then “-8.7”. You can set different values.

The adjacent icon adjusts the stereo balance between the right and left channels. You can move it in the same way as the sound.

For convenience, you can change the name of the track. This is especially true if you have a lot of them.

In the same window, we can turn off the sound. While listening, we will see the movement of the slider of this track, but the rest of the tracks will be heard. This function is convenient for editing the sound of individual tracks.

How to reverse in Adobe Audition

How do I reverse engineer in Adobe Audition? In principle, the task is not at all difficult, for this you just need to know only: “Where is that button.” But let’s first define why this is needed and when we need the next function.

Personally, I have used sound reverse more than once to get a new special effect. When a sample is taken as a basis, it is reversed and a new effect is ready. Thus, using reverse, you can “play around” with many sounds.

Second application of the reverse effect. it is the creation of a gibberish language. If you suddenly need to create an unearthly language. the reverse is perfect for these purposes. Here you can also play with intonations, different languages, in order to get a kind of language after conversion.

The third application of this function. it can be used for music competitions. This idea was once well used in a humorous show, when contestants were asked to memorize a fragment of an inverted song with words, and then hum that fragment. It was recorded and then reversed again, so listeners could evaluate how accurately the contestant reproduced the song.

How to Crop Audio in Adobe Audition

Fourth use of reverse. it is a search for new ideas. The music played, sounds extraordinary backwards and this is what can lead to new musical ideas.

Speaking of ideas, let’s take a break from the reverse for a while and take a commercial break. Now is the time for vacations and if you do not know how best to spend your vacation, where to go to relax, recreation centers in an inflow may be a good option. Quite a wide selection of boarding houses and bases.

For now, let’s get back to our topic “How to Reverse in Adobe Audition?”

There is nothing complicated. Go to Adobe Audition, in this case it doesn’t matter what version you have. Open the audio file you need.

Then, go to the Edit window, this is where manipulations will be made. Now in the Effects menu item, look for the Reverse item. Here is the “magic button”.

Apply the Reverse action either to the entire file or to its fragment, having previously selected it. That is, the reverse can work both to the entire file and to a fragment. In the first case, processing will take longer than when the effect is applied to a small piece.

Exporting an audio track to Adobe Audition

In order to remove noise from our audio track, it is initially necessary, of course, to add it to the Audition program. This can be done in two ways:

  • Using the main menu of the program, namely, select the “File” menu, then “Import” and again “File”. It is also possible to launch this operation using the Ctrl I hotkeys on your keyboard.
  • The second method involves exporting our audio track to Adobe Audition directly from Adobe Premiere Pro. In order to do this, we simply click on the audio track and from the context menu select the item indicated in the screenshot below.

In either case, our track will open in Adobe Audition and will be available for processing.

How to remove noise in Adobe Audition

Today, in our article, we will focus on professional audio processing software from Adobe. Specifically, you will learn how to remove noise in Audition. By the way, there is simply no better software for this task. Now you will see how easy it is to work with this program, so without delay, let’s get down to business.

Noise removal

So, in order to remove noise from our sound, we follow a few simple steps:

  • First, we increase the scale of the sound wave using the wheel on the mouse to such an extent until the gaps between the sounds and the noise itself are visible. For clarity, take a look at the screenshot that we attached below.
  • Next, using the information from the screenshot below, we launch our plug-in for noise suppression in Adobe Audition. We deliberately do not write the names of certain items, since you may have a Russian or English version of the program.
  • After that, using the mouse, select the area with noise (while no other sounds should be present on it) and in the window of the plug-in for noise reduction press the button marked with the number “2”. Thus, we will take a sample of the noise, and the program, based on it, will remove all unnecessary on the track.
  • Now you need to start listening to the area with noise (indicated by the number “1”) and at the same time activate circular playback (number “2”). Using the sliders marked with the numbers “3” and, accordingly, “4”, we adjust the strength of the effect so that we stop hearing the noise. When the desired effect is achieved, deselect our track in Adobe Audition and in the small window of the noise reduction plug-in press the button for applying changes (marked with the number “5”).

As a result, our noise will disappear and the audio recording will be clean.
