This was quite enough, on the details with a small thickness of problems there were no problems. Another question is to drill clearly vertical holes in the large thickness of the material, sometimes it turns out to control the verticality of the drill, sometimes not very. Smilling a smaller hole with a drill of a larger diameter: often, when drilling, the original center of the hole could shift, depending on how he finds himself a drill.

To avoid all these problems, responsible details and blanks must be drilled on a drilling machine, which naturally does not. I already reached the condition when the drilling machine is needed, but what exactly I want from it, what parameters are important to me, and which one needs to choose. I do not know yet. Therefore, to develop experience and form future needs, for better and effective investing in a drilling machine in the future, I decided to exercise on a home.made machine from a rack for a hand drill.

You could just buy a rack, place a drill in it and use it, but I needed to make convenient turning on and off the drill, as well as convenient rotation speed adjustment. Therefore, I decided to make a small pedestal for the rack, with the controls placed in it, as well as a box for drills and other accessories. And at the very base of the rack, I decided to make a wider table for placing and fixing blanks for drilling. The stand on which the drill itself is located is also made either from a metal or wooden slab. In addition to the guides, a clip for fixing the drilling tool should be created on it. The carriage can again be implemented from wood or metal.

Separately, it is worth mentioning the possibility of making a machine from an old photo surgeon.

Such a system, as a rule, is equipped with a suitable bed, and a counter, and even a control mechanism equipped with a handle. This is especially felt when using drills from F10 mm. You can, of course, be embarrassed with one hand to adjust the feed, and with the other to try to hold the necessary turns with the button on the drill. But in this case, both hands are busy, and somehow it is necessary to serve cooked.
