- If hot gases are emitted into the crankcase, the piston rings will most likely sink.
- Loss of pressure and the release of gases through the slots may indicate the destruction of the gaskets of the cylinder head. They must be replaced.
To fully assess the state of all elements of this group can only be visually through the hole from the removed muffler. If this is possible, then the cylinder head or the entire cylinder is removed.
