  • Clean, fresh, unleaded
  • The minimum octane number is 87/87 AKI (91 RON = Research Octane). When working at high altitude, see the instructions below.
  • Gasoline containing up to 10% ethanol (gasohol) or up to 15% MTBE (methyl tertiary butyl ether). Now, some gas stations sell gasoline with an ethanol content of up to 15%. The use of this E15 product in small engines is not recommended.

High Altitude Fuel Recommendations

When operating above 5,000 feet (1,524 meters) above sea level, gasoline with an octane rating of at least 85/85 AKI (89 RON) is permitted. Operation without this adjustment will result in degraded performance, increased fuel consumption and increased emissions.

Electric lawn mowers are less noisy than gasoline mowers, they are also cleaner (more environmentally friendly) and more economical to use (especially when the electricity bill is inexpensive).
