The largest figure skating specialist, the American Gustav Lus-Si believes that the skates should be attached so that their blades are somewhat shifted inside from the central line of the boot. He considers this method of fastening skates one of the best, since the ankles are strengthened.

Based on the experience of the work of children’s groups of figure skating, I want to recall once again that when buying boots (their quality often leaves much to be desired), you need to carefully examine the boots from all sides, especially from above and from the side of the sole, because sometimes the boots are uncented, heel, heel Leaned to the side. This happens, in particular, with a congenital defect in the feet: if the child is oblique, it is difficult for him to deploy the horse and slide with a “Christmas tree”, and the push to the other foot with a teeth. In this case, you need to look for a convenient option for fastening the skate for a young skater. If the boots are flooded inward, you can also shift the skates a little inside, and if out, then the skates are rearranged to the outer part of the boot.
