That being said, this will be an honest Manscaped™ Lawn Mower® 4.0 review after using it to trim the boys.Now, I’m not a frequent body, let alone ball shaver, but once a quarter at the minimum I do like to spruce things up and trim the hedges for my own personal liking.

On a scale of no body hair to Wookie, I land somewhere closer to the middle, but certainly towards the hairier side. So every once in a while, I like to make sure everything looks good and isn’t too overgrown. I haven’t gone bald since my old club swimming days.

When I do trim, I have previously used a generic trimmer to do all the bodywork. I also usually don’t get too close to the boys out of mild fear of cutting myself. Wireless Charging

The Lawn Mower 4.0 is charged via a docking station rather than being plugged directly into a socket. Their site says that it is charged by the dock via electromagnetic induction.

I personally was initially confused on the wireless part, but I believe what they mean is that the razor doesn’t have to be plugged into an outlet itself. Just set it in the docking station.

LED Spotlight

The Lawn Mower 4.0 does have a handy LED light for when you’re craning your neck to get into that hard-to-reach area, you know which one I mean. The only better solution would be a well-placed mirror.

Waterproof

The nice thing is that you can use the Lawn Mower 4.0 in or out of the shower. It can be submerged in up to one meter of freshwater for 30 minutes. They note that they’ve met International Electric Code standards, which is great. For ease of use, I tried it dry.

Travel Friendly

Manscaped included a nice travel lock feature, which basically means that the Lawn Mower 4.0 won’t spontaneously turn on in your bag. Three Rapid clicks of the power button will activate the travel lock.

Overall, the newest Manscaped flagship trimmer is fairly compact and fits pretty well in the hand. It’s definitely sculpted to handle the curvature of your boys.

Lawn Mower 4.0 vs. 3.0

So, what did they improve in the new version? The Lawn Mower 4.0 is a bit thinner, but with added weight. I like the way it felt in my hand, but I’ll get into that a little bit later.

In doing some reading, it also sounds like the newer version doesn’t get as hot as the Lawn Mower 3.0. I did notice a little warmth while using the Lawn Mower 4.0, but nothing alarming.

Wireless charging is a new feature to the Lawn Mower line as well.

The blade guards have a bit more adjustability than the Lawn Mower 3.0, so you have some more choice when it comes to length.

The travel lock is also a new feature and a good improvement to have when taking it on the road with you.

Lastly, Manscaped made some improvements to their waterproofing for the trimmer as well.

Overall, the improvements would be ones you’d only notice if you’ve had the previous version. Otherwise, on first impression, it seems like a superior trimmer.

The packaging is definitely on-brand for Manscaped, keeping with the black and gold theme as the rest of their online branding. It’s got a nice premium feel to it, like you intentionally bought this trimmer and it’s not something you picked up while running other errands.

I also personally like their logo of the upside-down heart that’s also clearly made to represent something else. Show a little love to your balls. Everything is neatly packed and makes it easy to store if you’re not someone who tears through and throws away boxes on the first open.

What’s in the Box?

The first thing you’ll see is the Lawn Mower 4.0 itself. It looks sleek and neatly fits into its compartment. Once you pull the trimmer out, you’ll see the quick start guide and then a longer instructional guide. The quick start guide will get you going, well, quickly. Below that, you’ll find two guards that have multiple adjusted positions to get you several lengths, the charging dock, charging cable, and cleaning brush.

Before you start mowing, Manscaped recommends charging the Lawn Mower 4.0 fully before use. Out of the box, mine came with about half a battery.

Initial Quality

Everything is made from sleek black plastic. The Lawn Mower 4.0 itself is a mix of shiny and matte black plastic. The blades are their own formulated type of ceramic like I previously noted. All the pieces feel sturdy and solid without being too clunky. When I used it, it was light enough to maneuver in undercarriage areas without feeling like it would slip out of my hand.

The other notable part for me was the charging cable. It’s a braided USB-C to USB cord. Something I would feel comfortable keeping on a bathroom counter without worrying about damage.

Lawn Mower 4.0 Pros

Let me preface the pros by saying again that this was my first time using a trimmer made specifically for the body and below. I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect. From my swimmer days and many nicks in my past, I just wanted something that was safe and easy to use. Because if you cut yourself down there, you know the immediate panic that sets in.

Ease of Use

Out of the box, the Lawn Mower 4.0 is basically a switch-on-and-go kind of device, besides the initial charge. There’s no real learning curve besides getting past some first-time apprehension if you’ve never manscaped before.

I actually really appreciated the quickstart guide here because it laid out exactly how to position the Lawn Mower 4.0 to avoid nicks. You want to make sure the flat edge of the trimer is parallel against your skin instead of going blade tip first.

I had no trouble getting started and trimming the hedges. (I am really buying into the mowing metaphor).

LED Spotlight

This came in really handy for the undercarriage. I like that the Lawn Mower 4.0 has a bright LED light because otherwise, you need to be some sort of contortionist or rearrange your bathroom mirrors to get all the spots under there.

No Overheating

Truth be told, I never tried the Lawn Mower 3.0, so while this was my first experience with Manscaped, I will say that I didn’t get as much heat from the trimmer as I do my normal electric trimmer. It’s a little disconcerting anytime you’re trimming and sense the burning of metal and warmth in your hand.

Wireless Use

It is really nice to not have to be plugged into an outlet while manscaping. Not that I’m obsessed with the undercarriage, but it is a lot easier to clean up down there when you’re not simultaneously tethered to a wall. I don’t mind the docking station being plugged in when the Lawn Mower 4.0 is not in use.

Would I Recommend the Lawn Mower 4.0?

Honestly, I would recommend this to a friend. And even more honestly, I am recommending all guys take manscaping a litter more seriously. Starting with a company that has dedicated its whole brand to groin health and grooming is a good idea.

I had no issues and more importantly no cuts after my first use. I would definitely incorporate the Lawn Mower 4.0 into my monthly grooming routine.

Stopped working within 9 months (Replacement sent within 24 hours)

I had the complete package purchased for me as a gift in November of last year (8 months ago).

Yesterday I tried to turn on the Lawnmower 4.9 and god a quick buzz and the light turned on, then it went off again, and 2 of the three LED lights on the front no longer work. I am really shocked as I have probably used this item 5 times and I did not expect it to be of such low quality.

I have emailed Manscaped to ask for a repair/replacement but won’t hold my breath on then helping.

I have not even used the replacement blade that I paid for 5 months ago alongside other cosmetics.

I am really disappointed as this kit cost over £100 and it doesn’t even come with a 12 month warranty. I will update this when I hear back from the company, but I am currently disgusted at the build quality of such an expensive item.

Update: Manscaped customer service responded to my email within 24 hours and have sent a replacement. Excellent customer service.

Just got an email that my email address…

Just got an email that my email address has been changed then a bank notification that my card details attempted to be used!! Unsafe website it seems! Shouldn’t be able to change email without authorisation also why do I not get a notification about a weird login! Only thing I can do now is make a NEW account. do not store card information thankfully this was an old card as I didn’t like Manscaped. Albeit they have my home address now!! Avoid this website ot storing anything personal. Use a guest account if you need to order.

Poor warranty

‘Our devices come with a standard 90-day warranty period.’ I would not buy an expensive device that they only guarantee to work 90 days. They have no faith in their own product to offer a longer warranty.

Broken Item

I received the beard hedger for my birthday last month. I opened the box and plugged in the trimmer and there was no power. Left it charging overnight and still nothing. I contacted the company via email and after a back and forth they said they could not help me because it was a gift and I had no proof of purchase. Well I will not go back to the person that gave me the gift to tell them their gift did not work. I wasnt asking for a replacement. Only to get this one working. So dont purchase this product as a gift cause if it doesnt work, your loved one will be stuck with a broken item. I even sent a video of the item not charging along with all the paperwork and original box. Very disappointed in this product and company.

My electric razor lawn Mower 4.0 stopped working for some reason. I wrote to the Manscaped explaining the situation and within 24 hours they were able to sort out sending a brand new shaver to me! Don’t buy the marketing, not a premium product

I bought the beard hedger and it was just like any other cordless beard trimmer. The trimmer guard is cheap, it doesnt have much varience in length, its not very powerful or sharp. It is far inferior in performance to the Wahl peanut and detailer which I have, I just unfortunately blew up my peanut while traveling on an incorrect outlet.

I got a nose trimmer from manscaped eu

I got a nose trimmer from manscaped eu. A month later i received an email saying that money had been taken from my account. To my knowledge I didn’t sign up for anything but if it was a replacement guard for my nose trimmer I would accept that although I was unhappy with access to my account for something I don’t remember signing up for. When the product arrived it had nothing to do with the nose trimmer which I certainly didn’t order and products that I don’t want. I have now blocked them from my account. Anyway they are far too expensive and so is the nose trimmer. I paid 60 euro and could have got an equivalent for at least half that. I wont be using them again

The problem is the product. Manscaped make all these grand promises about patented technology and unrivalled saftey, but I’ve cut myself multiple times using their Lawnmower, and that’s never happened with any other electric trimmers. Really disappointing.

They’re also a little sneaky with their repeat subscription bundles, of course I should have checked more thoroughly before checking out so it’s partly on me, but they didn’t even send a reminder email before charging me again.

Guaranteed to cut….you

Guard, no guard still guaranteed to cut you. Trimming my Johnson with a number 1 guard on being gentle and precarious as you should with the crown jewels and to my surprise left a gaping hole on the side of my sausage, with anymore cutting I’d be left with nothing down there. Multiple plasters and trauma later left me in a right mess as I had to stop any chance of an erection for the next week to heal.I’m in quite a lucky position as my gf doesn’t mind a bit of hair, however keeping trimmed is part of the agreement. By the time I got the courage to attempt using it again, 1 2 3, f@k me, it’s only gone and done it again, as I sat there with a disappointing orgasm and pure shame for 15 minutes, i had a second orgasm, an orgasm of truth, it was safe to say the skin safe technology still hasn’t been developed yet. If you’d like your “balls to thank you” or in one piece this is not the right tool to add to your collection.

Ordered a package with the lawnmower…

Ordered a package with the lawnmower 4.0 and weed whacker with a few extras. Paid for 24hr delivery as going on holiday and wanted to take with. After 24hrs and no package I contacted manscaped and got a swift reply. Unhappy with the response I left feedback and they contacted me again to confirm order now shipped and also refunded me the £10 delivery surcharge. Out the box the items have worked well. Can’t comment on battery length or how it performs over time, but so far so good. The customer service was pretty spot on.

New Lawnmower a Hit!

The new Lawnmower 4.0 is a hit. The combination 3 mm and 6 mm adjustable guard is perfect for multiple jobs. Body and face are both equally groomed and while the Beard Trimmer is better in some regards, having a single tool for both is a LOT better, especially for travel. Love the wireless charging also!

Customer service team on point.

Ordered one of their packages. I had to cancel the order and the support team told me to either refuse the package or get it sent back. Unfortunatelly my package was stolen from my front door. They gave me no trouble when I reported the package lost or stolen and offered to send me a new one. Since I was looking to cancel they quickly processed my return. Manscaped makes products that make your wife like you again!!

Manscaped makes a product that safely trims around wrinkly balls without fear of cuts or being pinched. I opted to buy the premium package and some of my favorite products that are included are the body wash, shampoo, and deodorant. They smell so good and are non irritating to my sensitive skin. If all this wasn’t enough to convince everyone to invest in this product, consider investing in yourself with this product because with the good smells and nice trimmings my wife likes looking at me again.

Excellent Products for Men

I like the quality of the Manscape products. I use the products daily, and I like the fragrances. However, the type of refill products became too much. excess amount of refill blades, ball toner, foot duster, foot deodorant, etc. Nobody changes blades that often or uses that many grooming products. I modified the refill products and timeline. Other than that, the Manscape product line is great!

I decided to Xmas gift myself the all-over well groomed looked and jumped into the special Holiday bundle. The tools are all quality and high precision, they better be that’s my Boyz they are playing with. They did not disappoint. They toners and conditioners were not harsh or irritating and had a pronounced and pleasing manly scent.
