Adoption of the centuries-old experience of the Russian people, crystallized in proverbs, proverbs, riddles, phraseological turns.

Today our game is devoted to phraseological works, proverbs, sayings, winged words, riddles and other genres of folklore, which are to some extent dedicated to nature.

To make the game interesting, we divided into four teams. So that we don’t sit at the table and get bored, we will have physical activity breaks during the game, that is, we will play under my guidance.

We humans are very closely connected to nature. Nature helps us with everything. Although there are many modern methods for predicting the weather, unfortunately they are not accurate enough. The data about nature and its conditions are in constant flux, and it can be hard to keep track of fluctuations. Often people have to rely on their own feelings and folk omens, which are the accumulation of centuries of wisdom.

Wildlife and the world around us is constantly prompting and warning of impending changes in nature, and sometimes this happens much faster than the predictions of weather forecasters. Therefore, folk omens will never lose their relevance and will always be our reliable pendulum in the sea of weather phenomena. Knowing them will not only allow you to be closer to nature, but also to be aware of its changes.

In this contest, you must answer my question with one word, “bad” or “good.”

And the “weather bureau” or weather predictions listen to the poem E. Jenner’s “40 reasons to turn down a friend’s offer to go for a walk together.”.

And now we’re going to have a physical activity break. The game is called “In the River to the Shore.”. On the playground, 2 parallel mowing lines are drawn. these will be the banks, and between them the river. Its width should be such that players can jump over it in 2 jumps without a run-up. All players line up along the bank. I give the command: “Into the river! On the shore! In the river! into the river!”. Players must jump accurately on the presenter’s order: stepping on the bank line or jumping instead of the river to the bank is not allowed. Player is out of the game for violation. The winner is the last one not to drop out of the game.

Let’s remember what phraseological expressions are. they are stable combinations of words, equal in meaning to one word, or an entire sentence. And phraseology is a branch of the science of language, which studies stable word combinations, i.e. phraseological expressions. Anatoly Timofeyevich Arsiry said, “Phraseological phrases are precious threads that give speech a unique coloring and luster.”.

The Russian language is rich in idioms. Phraseological turns decorate our speech, make it figurative, expressive. The more a person knows stable phrases, the brighter his speech, the clearer he expresses his thoughts. Let us recall some phraseological expressions. I read a poem and you end it with a phraseological turn.

First I will ask you some funny questions to warm you up:

Does the earth have a face?? (Yes, in the phraseology wipe off the face of the earth.).

Is it possible to pour something from an empty vessel? (In the expression to pour out of nothing into nothing.).

Can a question get sick? Does it have a rib? (Phraseological phrases are a painful issue, put the question in a nutshell.).

They say: hot on the trail. Can the trail be cold? (In the phrase to leave a trace.).

Can sorrow be in a liquid state? (In the expression loaf of grief, drink of grief.).

Do the eyes of danger, of truth, of death? (In the phraseology of looking the truth, (danger, death) in the eye.).

What dish does some people have in their heads? (Porridge, vinaigrette).

Does a newspaper have legs, a book? (There are when they are “held upside down.”).

In a stable expression one word is used incorrectly, it must be replaced. (Each team is given a sheet of paper with a task:)

For each idiom in the left column, find the opposite meaning of the idiom:

Keep a stone behind your bosom. 3. Crows count.

To sit on someone else’s neck. 4. To keep a fierce hand on the tiller.

All over Ivanovskaya. 9. Hold your tongue.

Proverbs and sayings can be called a code of life rules, a practical philosophy. They are short and marked. But their interpretation can be quite florid. Identify which proverb or saying could be so interpreted. The team captain who raises his hand first will answer. The team can tell their captain.

The 13th ‘Interpretation of proverbs and sayings’ contest.

A forest gray predator has four limbs to fill its belly with food. (Voloka’s feet feed them).

In the place of residence, even the vertical partitions of the room provide support. (Houses and walls help.).

A married couple is a single instance of an unholy force. (Husband and wife are one Satan).

The place where I live is far away from the center of the community, so I am not aware of the events. (My house is on the edge, I don’t know anything).

The subject of an unclean force is not really capable of harming anyone, although some people imagine him capable of vile atrocities. (The devil is not as fearsome as he is made out to be.

The oval edibles produced by the bird must not show superiority in mind to the bird itself. (Eggs don’t teach the hen).

The Carousel Game. The goal of the game: not to be late for the merry-go-round.

The players stand in a circle. There’s a rope on the floor. The ends of which are tied. Players approach the rope. They pick it up from the floor and, holding it with their right hands, walk in a circle with the words:

At the presenter’s command: “Turn around!”. Everyone quickly takes the rope with the other hand and runs in the opposite direction with the words:

The carousel slows down and stops with the last words. The players place the rope on the floor and run off in different directions. At the presenter’s signal. clap their hands. they hurry to sit on the merry-go-round again, i.e. е. take hold of the rope and the game resumes. The latecomers will not go on the merry-go-round.

The riddles are very closely related to nature. They reflect the phenomena of nature very well. Now first I will tell you a few riddles, and then each team tells their own nature riddles to each other:

Zarya. zaryanitsa walked through the church, dropped the keys, the month saw, the sun stole. (Dew)

That around the hut you can’t carry? (Water in a sieve)

When he was a child, he knew no diapers; when he became an old man, he had a hundred diapers on him. (Cabbage.)

There are feathers, but they don’t fly; there are no legs, but you can’t catch up with them. (Fish)

Men without axes have cut down a hut without corners. (Ants and anthills)

And now representatives of each team will tell their riddles.

Now I will read the explanations and you need to replace them with phraseological expressions:

When it is hard to find fault with something, they say (A mosquito will not shake his nose).

What is the name of the person on whom someone else’s guilt, responsibility for someone else’s misdeeds is constantly blamed (Scapegoat).

I call a word and the team should name as many idioms as possible that have this word in them.

Team 1: nose (nose to nose, sticking your nose in, not seeing beyond your nose, nose to nose, nose to nose, nose to smell, hang up your nose, nose to nose, nose to nose, nose to peck, nose to peck);

2 command hand (hand to hand, hand to hand wash, hand to hand, hand to hand, hand will not rise, hand will not tremble, clean up the hands, other people’s hands to grasp the heat);

3 command head (to put in the head, soap the head, no king in the head, to lose the head, from sick head to healthy head, from head to toe, to whip the head);

The fourth team has a finger (don’t put your finger in your mouth, point your finger in the sky, wrap your finger around it, don’t touch it, know it like the back of your hand, you can count on your fingers).

That’s the end of our competition program. Now the jury will sum up the results and award the winners. And I’m saying goodbye to you. Comprehend the wisdom of the people, live in harmony with a good word. Not without reason Russian proverbs say: “A good word to say is a straw in your hand”, “A good word is better than a soft pie”, “a good speech is better than honey”.

Here is what famous writers and poets said about our language. About why it should be protected.

Mikhail Vasilievich Lomonosov wrote: “Charles V, the Holy Roman Emperor, used to say that it was proper to speak Spanish to God, French to friends, German to enemies, Italian to the female sex. But if he knew Russian, of course he would add that it is decent to speak it to everyone.к. would find in it the splendor of Spanish, the vivacity of French, the strength of German, the tenderness of Italian, and the richness and strong representativeness of Latin and Greek.”.

And here is what Samuel Yakovlevich Marshak said: “We must guard the language from littering, remembering that the words we use today. with the transmission of some new ones. will serve for many centuries after you to express ideas and thoughts still unknown to us, to create new poetic creations that are beyond our foresight. And we should be deeply grateful to the preceding generations who brought us this legacy of imaginative, capacious, intelligent language. It itself already has all the elements of art: a coherent syntactic architecture, the music of words, a verbal painting”.

And here is what Alexei Nikolaevich Tolstoy wrote about the Russian language: “The Russian language! For thousands of years the people have been creating this flexible, lush, inexhaustibly rich, clever poetic the instrument of their social life, their thoughts, their feelings, their hopes, their anger, their great future Divine ligature the people weaved an invisible network of Russian language: bright as a rainbow following the spring rain, apt as arrows, intimate as a song over the cradle, melodious The backwoods world, on which he threw the magic net of words, submitted to him like a tame horse.”.

“In the days of doubt, in the days of heavy reflection on the fate of my homeland. You alone are my support, O great, mighty one. The truthful and free Russian language ! Don’t be you. How not to fall into despair at the sight of all that is done at home? But you can’t believe such a language wasn’t given to a great nation!”

Amazing Geographical Lapses 1. In the summer of 981 the ship of the Viking Erik the Red approached an unknown land. Erik saw the green carpet of moss on the shores, and, rejoicing, somewhat hastily named the discovered land Greenland, that is, “green country”. Although, actually, in some places the thickness of the ice shell of Greenland island is more than 3 kilometers, and the total ice reserve of this “green country” is so large, that if it suddenly melted, the level of the world’s ocean would rise by 8 meters.

Reverse case, Iceland. The name translates to “land of ice.”. This is how one of the discoverers of the island, the Norwegian VIKING Floki Wilgerdarson, named it. But in fact, snow and glaciers cover only a small portion of the island. Icelanders themselves joke: “The coldest in our country. is its name.”.

Applewood Ridge. It is located in Transbaikalia, and it would be logical to assume that it is so named either because many apple trees grow there. But in fact, the name of the ridge. This is a distortion of the local Yabylgani-Daba, which means “easily passable mountains.”.

The Yug River in the Komi Republic also has a deceptive name. It doesn’t flow to the South and it’s not in the South. In the Komi language, the sound “yoo” means a whole phrase: “a river that can be navigated by a boat”.

Republic of Costa Rica. Translated from Spanish, Costa Rica means “rich coast”. Christopher Columbus gave it that name. The Spaniards, struck by the amount of gold jewelry of the locals, believed that these regions were rich in gold. And only later it turned out that there is no gold there, and the gold ornaments Indians brought from Peru.

The name of Sakhalin Island came about through sheer misunderstanding. French scientists who mapped the region wrote “Sakhalin angakhata,” which means “cliffs at the mouth of the black river,” near the western shore of Sakhalin. Geographers mistakenly attributed the name to the island itself, and subsequently the name was fixed on all maps.

The name Canada appeared due to the complete ignorance of Europeans of the language of the locals. Kanata means “settlement” or “village” in Iroquois.

And Yucatan means “I do not understand you” in Native American. This is how the locals in 1571 responded to the Spaniards’ question about what this beautiful blooming land was.

The Land of Fire. In 1520, while sailing in the evening through the strait that was later named after him, Magellan saw on his port side many lights. Most likely, these were fires lit by locals. Magellan named the land “Terra del fuego”, that is, “Land of lights”. But the cartographers were careless about the name and called the island “Tierra del Fuego.”. There are no volcanoes on Tierra del Fuego and there have never been any.

Canary Islands. The word canary has nothing to do with canaries, it translates to “Isle of Dogs. During a naval expedition, the Numidian ConolleJube II discovered on one of these islands many wild and vicious dogs, and of impressive size. However, canaries on the Canary Islands are indeed very numerous, and this archipelago used to be called Lucky.
